Steelman Partners CEO and Vice President to Speak at Themed Entertainment Association Conference

They will share their expertise at TEA SATE, the Themed Entertainment Association’s (TEA) exclusive conference series addressing the art, craft and business of experience design. Paul Steelman, AIA, NCARB, Executive Director, and Suzanne Steelman Taylor, Vice President of Strategy, will speak on topics for the themed entertainment community. Organized in partnership with the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), SATE Las Vegas will take place October 12-15 on the UNLV campus.

Paul and Suzanne will be the main conversation for SATE Day One (Thursday, October 13 at 9 am). Paul is recognized as a visionary designer of global entertainment, hospitality, and game architecture. Paul and Suzanne have worked with many well-known clients throughout their careers, including Resorts World and Circa Resort and Casino, Genting, Galaxy Entertainment, Las Vegas Sands Corporation, MGM Resorts International, Sheraton, Hyatt, Swiss Casinos, Hard Rock, Caesar’s Entertainment, Silverton Casino and Stations Casinos.

“I am delighted to be speaking with this distinguished group of professionals,” says Paul. “My career began in 1967 when I helped my father build a manufactured home and continued when I started my company in 1987. I had the opportunity to work with some incredible visionaries, seeing Las Vegas transform over the years. Gaming, especially in Asia, has changed and will continue to change rapidly.”

Suzanne began her career at the Steelman Architecture Asia office in Macau, China, before moving to the Las Vegas headquarters. Suzanne understands the importance and necessity of collaboration between global offices. Suzanne’s role is multifaceted, working with the architecture department designing and coordinating interior spaces, recruiting talent, and playing an active role in client development.

“Themed entertainment in architecture, planning and design is vital to the hospitality industry, both nationally and internally,” says Suzanne. “Sharing ideas and information is valuable to our continued growth and success.”

Paul will talk about how he developed Steelman Partners and share experiences and insights working with the world’s great entrepreneurs, including Steve Wynn, Kurt Kerkorian, Sheldon Adelson, the Fertitta family, Francis Lui, Stanley Ho, Lawrence Ho, Prince Albert of Monaco, and Derek Stevens. In addition, they will talk about the expansion of the game in Japan and Europe, the importance of profitability, best practices and their inspiration.
